K/K GIRL WINS LEINSTER TITLE
Sincere congratulations to Amy Delaney, Killooley, who won the Leinster final in solo singing in Scor na nOg in Ballinakill, Co. Laois on Sat. night last. Amy now goes forward to the All-Ireland final of Scor in Athlone on 15th Feb. and will bring with her the good wishes of the entire parish. Well done Amy.

NEW PEACE COMMISSIONERS
Kilcormac has two new Peace Commissioners as a result of recent appointments by the Minister for Justice Mr.Ml. McDowell T.D.
Roger Commins, St. Cormac's Park, and Joan Spain, Freagh recently received their Warrant of Appointment from the Minister.

KILCORMAC RAMBLERS
The Ramblers held their annual night out on Fri. night last 17th Jan. in Birr Rugby Club, when up to fifty members enjoyed an excellent buffet supper and then had a great night of singing, dancing and recitation. It was a very sociable and enjoyable night with many of the Ramblers entering into the spirit of the occasion with their party pieces.
Chairperson Seamus Barron thanked everyone for coming, and returned thanks to the Rugby Club for their excellent facilities and the great food. He also thanked Teresa and Tommy for the music, which they have provided year after year for the ramblers.
The next walk is on Sunday 2nd Feb. when the walk led by Pat Craven and Liam Hand will be to the Boora Sculpture Trail. Assemble in The Square, Kilcormac at 12noon.

10TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY
On this Friday, 24th Jan. the well known public house known as Frankford House, Main St., Kilcormac will celebrate its tenth anniversary under the management of John and Teresa McMahon.
Friday night will be a night of celebration, with music, song and craic, and we send congratulations and good wishes to the McMahon family and wish them many more years of business in Kilcormac.

BALLYBOY HIGH MILEAGE CLUB
The High Mileage Club are having a get together on Thurs. 30th Jan. in Dan & Mollys, at 4.30p.m. All are welcome.
OFFALY HOSPICE
This week 1650 Euro was handed into Offaly Hospice as a result of recent fundraisers and collections. 1004Euro was raised by the Ramblers on New Years Day, 380Euro was raised at the Set Dancing Christmas night out raffle and 266.19Euro was donated in the Hospice Box at Dan & Mollys.
Offaly Hospice are very grateful to everyone who helped in any way in the raising of this amount of money, and it will all go to help fund the Hospice, which is doing tremendous work in the County.

BALLYBOY C.C.E.
The Junior session in Dan & Mollys on Sun. evening last was a great success, and sincere thanks to all who helped out.
The next Junior session is on Feb. 16th from 4.00p.m. to 6.00p.m. in the same venue.
Nora's set dancing classes on Wed. in O'Sullivans and Sundays in Dan & Mollys, have resumed and beginners are welcome. In addition, Nora is starting a Ceili class in O'Sullivans, Kilcormac. Classes will be on the last Thurs. of each month commencing on Thurs. 30th Jan. at 9.00p.m. All are welcome, especially beginners.
There will be a Senior Session in Dan & Mollys on Fri. 31st Jan. commencing at 9.30p.m. All are welcome.
The branch would like to extend congratulations to their member Amy Delaney on winning the Leinster Title in Scor na nOg on Sat. night last.

MOUNTBOLUS PIPE BAND
St. Brigid's Pipe Band Mountbolus would like to thank all who contributed to the recent Church Gate Collection. Funds will go towards repairs and maintenance of instruments for another year.

The Gardening Club are having their Annual Dinner on Tues. 11th Feb. in the Riverbank, Riverstown, Birr. Names to Eileen Daly (35152) or Jo Gath (37043) before 8th Feb. Tickets are 25Euro each and all are welcome, members and non members. The Club would like to wish a Happy New Year to all.

There was no winner of the Jackpot this week. Winning Nos. were 1,4,13,26. There were three match 3 winners. Promoters prize went to Lucy Clancy. Next weeks draw is in The Beehive, Mountbolus and the Jackpot will be 5950Euro.
