Parent and Toddler Group
Rí Rá Parent & Toddler Group meets every Thursday morning from 11am - 12.30pm during school term time. The meeting place is St Joseph's Community Centre, Kilcormac. The Group mainly caters for those living in Kilcormac and the surrounding areas but all are welcome.
The Group is run by volunteer parents and carers of the babies and young children that attend the Group.
What We Offer
The Group welcomes all children from babies to preschoolers with their parents, grandparents or carers to enjoy play and socialising in a safe and stimulating environment.
For the children there are lots of opportunities to interact with other children, which helps build their confidence and develop social skills. The Group is a fantastic stepping stone in preparing a child for crèche, playgroup or pre-school. It might also provide children with opportunities to experience activities which may not be available at home.
There are toys, books and jig-saws to play with and regular activities include arts and crafts, music, singing, dancing and story telling. There are tricycles, bicycles and tractors available in a large play space. There are also special events at Halloween, Christmas, Easter and Summer.
For the adults, the group offers a forum to meet others in a similar situation, chat, share experiences, receive support and develop friendships. There are also regular once-off events for the adult members of the Group.
