Kilcormac St. Patricks Day Parade
The parade is on Thursday 17th March and this year Kilcormac’s parade theme is ‘Remembering 1916’. There is no entry fee and the parade starts from the G.A.A field at 3:30pm. All walking entrants, such as fancy dress and school entrants are asked to congregate in the G.A.A. field car park, with other entrants to take their place on the road side (G.A.A. field side) to await the start of the parade. Participants are invited to enter in any category and try their luck to win one of our coveted trophies. Prizes will be awarded for best group display, best vintage vehicle, most original float, fancy dress for adults and children and many more categories.

Don’t Forget Tuesday Night Bingo!!
Bingo in St. Joseph’s Community Centre, Kilcormac on Tuesday nights at 8pm. The Bingo is run by the Kilcormac Development Association and the Kilcormac Community Childcare and will have a prize fund of €2,000 every week. Community Alert
Community Alert meeting on Tuesday 22nd March at 8:30pm in the Silver River room, St. Joseph’s Community Centre, Kilcormac. So far we have had two very progressive meetings about the Community Alert initiative starting in our Community. This meeting will be about getting the structures in place to get the Community Alert text system off the ground for our community’s residents, if you are interested in giving your time for a short period please come along on the night. Lough Boora Running Group with Will Faulkner Midlands Radio 3
4th Annual Charity Run in Lough Boora Discovery Park on Sunday 3rd April. 10K Race and 5K Walk/Run/Jog fundraiser for Irish Autism Action – Dochas Offaly Cancer Support – Offaly School of Special Education. Registration at Teach Lea from 9:30 a.m. and the race is at 11 a.m. Family Morning-Kid’s Entertainment.

Boccia takes place in St. Joseph’s Community Centre on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm – 7:45pm.
 
Elaine Carroll Pilates
Pilates Class in St. Joseph’s Community Centre, Kilcormac on Monday & Wednesday nights from 8pm – 9pm. €10 per class, there are limited places available. To book your place please call Elaine on 086 3892882. Don’t forget to bring a mat.
 
Bowls
Bowls takes place every Friday from 7pm – 8pm in St. Joseph’s Community Centre. For more information contact Timmy 086 8729423.

 
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels service is available in the Kilcormac, Rath, Mt Bolus, Kinnitty and Cadamstown areas and is run from St. Joseph’s Community Centre every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Service users can avail of dinners on any or all three days for a short or long period of time at a cost of €3 per meal. If you know someone or you would like to avail of the service yourself please don’t hesitate to call us in the KDA office Eva or Sean 057 91 35445, where we will give you all the information and would be delighted to help you.
 
Four Seasons Garden Club
A big thank you to solicitor, Des Houlihan who gave a very interesting talk last Monday night, it was thoroughly enjoyed by the group.
Judy Nolan has stepped down as club secretary after 14 years in the role, we wish to thank her for her many years service to our club. Linda Buckley has taken over as our club secretary.
Our next meeting will be on Monday 4th April, details next week.
Our annual week away will be from Sunday 24th to Friday 29th April, we are going to Quailty Hotel, Youghal, Co. Cork. €355 per person sharing, €30 supplement for single room, names and deposit of €180 as soon as possible to Eileen 086 8417617 or 057 91 35152. Please note non-members are welcome to come on the trip.

First Responder Training
Anyone interested in learning how to perform CPR and how to use an AED, the Kilcormac Community First Responders will be holding a training evening in the next 4-6 weeks depending on sufficient numbers. The cost for training will be €15 this includes a pocket face mask. Please call the KDA office on 057 91 35445 to put your name on the list or for more information.
