LATE MR. RICHIE MAHON
The death took place of recently of Mr. Richie Mahon, Raheenmoyle, Kilcormac. Richie was not in the best of health recently, but nevertheless, his death was unexpected and a shock to his neighbours and friends. Richie was employed by the firm of D.E. Williams when they operated in Kilcormac, and in later years was employed by Bord na Mona at Boora. He was an excellent gardener and was a very neat person. He lived alone but kept his home in excellent condition with his regular paintwork.
His remains were removed from Tullamore General Hospital to St. James Church, Eglish, and his funeral took place to the adjoining cemetery. Fr. J. Moorehead officiated.
Richie is survived by his brother Packie, (Belmont), sister Bridget (Biddy) Daly, Geashill, nieces, nephews and many friends, to whom deepest sympathy is extended.
