Kilcormac Parade Appreciation Night

The St. Patricks day Parade organisers are planning an Appreciation Night / Get Together for all who have been involved in the parade over the past 29 years.  The evening will be held in O'Sullivan’s Pub on Saturday 19th April at 10pm.  People who have been involved in the parade as entrants or those who have helped with any aspect of running the parades over the years are very welcome to attend.

5K Fun Run

There will be a 5K Fun Run on Easter Monday (21st April) in aid of Harley Dalzell. Registation takes place in St. Joseph’s Community Centre, Kilcormac at 10:30am, with the race starting at 11am. There is no entry fee to the Fun Run, we only ask for a donation.  The Fun Run will be a loop track from Kilcormac to Ballyboy back to Kilcormac. Refreshments will be served in the Community Centre afterwards. 

Kilcormac Walking Club

Why not join the Kilcormac Walking Club which was recently set up to encourage walking as a social and healthy hobby.   The club will be run through the KDA office and anyone interested in joining the club should contact the office for information on 057 91 35445.  We walk once a week on a Tuesday night at 8pm meeting at St. Joseph’s Community Centre.  The walks are open to everyone and to people of all fitness levels.  We will also be organising weekend walks during the year, the first we hope to have in the next month where we hope families will come along and enjoy the many fabulous local walking areas we have on our doorstep.  Members are not obliged to attend every walk but may like to join in whenever it suits them. Membership for the Walking Club is €10 per adult per annum.  Children under 16 years are free and students over 16 years of age are €5 per annum.  Registration forms will be available in the KDA office and at the start of each walk on the Tuesday nights.  We look forward to seeing on one of our walks very soon.  

Rí Rá Parent & Toddler Group

The group will not be meeting until Thursday 1st May due to the Mid-term Break. Happy Easter Everyone from all at Rí Rá Parent and Toddler.

The Group will be held every Thursday morning from 11am - 12:30pm for parents & minders of children from the ages of 0-5 years in the Silver River room of St. Joseph's Community Centre, €3 per family. New comers always welcome! (Facebook page: ri ra Kilcormac)

Four Seasons Gardening Club

The club will have their week away to Salthill Hotel Galway on Sunday 27th April – Friday 2nd May. Final payment is due now, please pay Eileen asap to contact her call: 057 91 35152/ 086 8417617. Times for pick up; Birr Square 10:30am, Fivealley 10:45 am, Kilcormac Square 11:00am.

Thanks to everyone for making the trip to the Dail and the national museum and our shopping trip. A big thank you to Dermot Guinan and Ger Leahy for the transport.

Ballyboy CCE

A note for your diary, the April Senior Session of Irish Music Song and Dance will be held in Dan & Molly’s, Ballyboy on Holy Thursday night April 17th instead of Good Friday April 18th.  The Session will revert back to the third Friday evening of the Month for the rest of the year!!  All visiting musicians are welcome.  Please support!

Tir na nÓg

Pottery classes will begin for Active Retired people on Thursday 24th April in St. Joseph’s Community Centre from 2:30pm - 4:30pm. It will continue for five Thursdays, there is a €30 materials fee. If anyone is interested in attending this course please ring Claire on 085 7559955 as soon as possible.
